Neaberklok is a design team, based in Groningen, Netherlands. Their latest creation is a pair of spherical concrete speakers! Kyle & Johan seems to have followed three rules:
1. They used concrete as their case material, because "concrete resonates much less and at a higher frequency, outside the critical zones", in comparison to wood..."
2. They built them spherical, because "sound waves move much like water waves..."
3. They used vintage drivers, because "they don’t make them like that anymore..."
They have created two models, the "NK001 Vintage" and the "NK002 Vintage Black".
The first comes with 1972 philips drivers and weights 35kg each, while the second one come in color black, uses 1974 philips drivers and weights 25kg.
