Currently on view at the Chatsworth House grounds in the UK through October 31st is the annual Sotheby’s Beyond Limits sculpture exhibition. Included in this year’s showing are two new works from Damien Hirst entitled Legend and Myth, which are his dissected portrayals of a winged horse and a unicorn.
This new series of work appears to be an extension of his signature formaldehyde animals, with a focus now on mythical creatures. The sculptures are up for sale and range from the 1930s to the present day including work from artists including Marc Quinn, Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, Barry Flanagan and Lynn Chadwick.
